Unsurprisingly, I read a lot of books by agrarians. Sometimes, these are new books, but mostly good old out of print stuff. Books which feel and smell good. You know what I mean. These books are a veritable gold mine of wisdom and quotes, and I want to share what I find with you.
So, this is the first in a new and ongoing series of posts here at Over the Field: Wisdom From The Agrarians. These will be in addition to my regular essays (which may take a little longer to appear as I spend more time crafting them) and occasional poetry pieces. Every Saturday, I will publish a Wisdom From The Agrarian post which will be headed by a quote gleaned from my reading along with a 400-500 word reflection. The quote and reference will be available for all, the reflection for paid subscribers as part of the package that they have signed up for (see the special offer below).
I hope you enjoy.
